Great record! But. This is of course a "One Arm Preacher Curl". Should be re-named quickly.

  • The Internet Deez nuts

You call that a bicep curl!? That was more like pulling your body back to get momentum.

    • Australia Daniel Ogburn

Arm wrestlers do this all the time. There's no problem as he hasn't labelled it a "strict" curl. You're jealous that he could grab your wife by the pussy and curl her with one arm.

  • Sweden Thommy Ohlund

Impressive! You should be able to do a great strict barbell curl as well!

Look closely. 2- 25s, a 10 on each side on an extended olympic dumbell handle with clips (usually 10.1lbs) here is a video of me doing it at the end of the same workout with a 120lb hex. But thanks https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=15n42ZjWAMY

  • United States Jason A Faulkner

Isn't that a 25 and 10 on each end plus the bar. Equals about 88-93 pounds. That's some solid James it's impressive.work

Your father sounds strong. I am proud of my SPECIFIC demonstration of strength because it is my best demonstration of strength. Just as your fathers was as you chose to describe him throwing the 100lbs bales of hay over his head is specific to his area of strength. I am strong in other areas too but I dont show case them because I know that there are MANY other people that are stronger than I am in THOSE SPECIFIC feats of strength. I am 155lbs always....not 156 or 154 unless I just ate thanksgiving dinner or am sick so I am confident that none one can beat my record for my size. I you find them....tell them about me. If I know anything about physical strength, it is the fact that no one person will hold all the records....I promise that.

I used to do 120 on a preacher curl bench (all the way down, all the way up) while I weighed 120. That was at my strongest though, and I had many of the larger gym rats tell me I had freakishly strong biceps.

    • The Internet Eli b

I was at 100-105 most of the time though. And almost no one can do this much, so congrats. I know it takes hard work. I see big bodybuilders doing the tiniest weight. I know they are going for size, not strength, but I always find it funny when guys like you and me are atronger than them.

Not bad, but things use to be different 60-70 years ago. My dad at 14years old was throwing 100 lb hay bales over his head onto a wagon. while holding 2 bales, 1 in each hand, slinging 1 up then the other, all day long. No one could beat him in a fight, and he use to out run others while he carried someone, another teenager, on his back. His strength was superior to all he encountered even while in the Navy, he routinely kicked the crap out of several Marines at a time, knocking one out then the other, he was only 6 foot.

    • The Internet Jon-Paul Palmer

One person doesn't own all the records for feats of strength. I dedicate my efforts to a specific lift...and that is what I claim to be the best at. I know people like your father too. That is very impressive for his size for that SPECIFIC demonstration of strength. No one person will hold all the physical strength records, I promise you that.

    NICE!

  • United States Deb Orvik

Very Impressive for you for having one of the few serious records on this site. I think more will follow since Guinness World Records has noticed this site and may be scrambling to get the hits that URDB World Records is getting. Great job for posting a serious challenge.
