About

Pleven, Bulgaria / October 25, 2026

Daniel Tochev of Pleven, Bulgaria, hung from a doorway pull-up bar by one bare hand for 30.8 seconds with 90.3 kilograms of plates chained to a dip belt, knees tucked and the stack swinging clear of the floor. Weighing in at 64.2 kilograms himself, he had roughly 154 kilograms hanging from a single grip. We timed the hold frame by frame from the moment his feet left the floor until they came back down, and watched the belt, chain and plates go onto a platform scale right afterwards, reading 90.30 kilograms. That is a lot of iron for one hand.

Rules

- Hang from a horizontal bar by one bare hand: no straps, hooks or wraps (chalk is fine).
- Carry the added weight on a dip belt, vest or similar; it must hang free of the floor and everything else for the whole hold.
- The hold must last at least 30 seconds, timed from the moment both feet leave the floor until a foot touches down or the hand lets go.
- Knees may bend, but the feet and the free hand may not touch the floor, the bar, the door frame or any other support.
- The result is the added weight only (belt, chain and plates together), weighed on a scale on camera; bodyweight is not counted.
- Continuous, unedited video showing the whole hold and the weigh-in is required.
