What the hell is this shit. First off using smith machine, Overly wide grip and half reps. 225 on smith machine in decline is roughly 155 on flat bench, so again your EGO is taking over

it's still 225. Isn't about Ego, its about setting an awesome standard to beat!! bar touched and elbows extended on all reps. You should try it and see how you do and post some videos

I dont touch the smith machine i use either dumbbells incline/decline or decline barbell. Better for your shoulders and rotators, the smithmachine locks your shoulders in and this is how tears happen

Been lifting 18 yrs. I disagree. machine work rests the stabilizing so your body can heal and it mixes things up. Tore everything on free weights except an upper bicep on the smith doing heavy upright rows. once Im done going up as high as I can on smith I'm going back to free weights for awhile. Flat bench I stay away from because of an almost fatal tearing of the left side. I did 315-32 reps raw in 2008 on flat. Flat is my only real weakness on any one lift.

18 years lifting come on give me a break dude. 18 years lifting you would be toned as fuck by now. And do some research, freeweights is healthier for the muscles, as you have a better control of your ROM. Talk to ANY hard core bodybuilder like myself and NONE use any pushing exercise via machines. Ive only been lifting for 6 years and body building last 6months and my gains are insane. I dont EVER touch a machine.
