Tom Whiteley ran one mile for 768 consecutive days. He underwent total hip replacement surgery in February 2012. He began the record on August 22, 2014 and ended on September 27, 2016.

Whiteley is a member of the United States Running Streak Association, a group that is dedicated to running at least one mile every day.
