About

Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan / March 26, 2026

Hanzala Nazir of Faisalabad, Pakistan, was 16 when IBM issued him its Big Data Foundations Level 1 badge on March 26, 2026, for completing Big Data 101, a free beginner course on IBM's Cognitive Class learning site. In the video he shows the printed IBM certificate in his name, in a clear plastic sleeve on the carpet, with the issue date, the badge and a Credly verification link, and says he is the youngest IBM Level 1 certified in the whole world. RecordSetter opened the Credly link printed on the certificate, which shows IBM issuing the badge to him, and took his age from the date of birth he supplied; the record covers IBM course certificates and badges, which are separate from IBM's exam-based professional certifications. Big data, decoded at 16.
