About

Beihu-Chenzhou-Hunan, SAR, China / October 18, 2026

Yanhao Deng of Chenzhou, Hunan, swapped both AA batteries in a handheld wireless microphone in 13.11 seconds. Before the run the clip shows the mic switched on, its display lighting up, then off again, with two fresh batteries and a smartwatch stopwatch on the desk. Once the watch starts, Yanhao twists off the battery sleeve, tips out the old pair, slides in the new ones, screws the sleeve back on and stops the watch at 00:13.11, then switches the mic on again to show the batteries went in the right way. A pit stop worthy of karaoke night.
