Corey Henderson picked up 41 internet signals at URDB HQ in New York City’s Chinatown neighborhood.

    Nice record! Please be aware that people can use backtrack, Kali or another Linux based operating system to product fake access points that look valid.

    And leaving in such a populated, and dense metropolis as New York I am sure speaks to the success of this record, I imagine 'one-day' you may get a contender from Japan (which I believe is even more dense and has even more wi-fi hot spots) - eventually is going to get high-tech as one will have to amplify wi-fi signals too weak to be picked up. ;)

    I used an app called InSSIDer for my attempt.

    Also, Verizon, feel free to waive my MiFi fees for 2011.
