  • United States hi its me

OMG you are so amazing. Do you have any tips to beat your record. I want to cream you.

  • England Harri Bubblegum

Lol I wouldn't want to play bowling with you

  • The Internet Michael Hamilton

I actually got off 12 strikes within the minute. Our form is the same. We figured the 1:00 minute timer stopped even if the ball was rolling down the lane. I actually got the last shot off within the minute and it did strike, so therefore, it technically is 12 strikes! I had enough balls for every lane and did not need someone to bring me them from other lanes. Thanks.

Thanks for the answer, Michael. A couple of questions:

      1. Just to be clear, are you saying that you pulled balls off the rack each time (as opposed to having people hand them to you?)

      2. Do you have an extended cut of this video? While rules permit strikes that occur after the time limit, it's extremely difficult to clearly see all pins falling in the final frame.

Keep on rolling! BTW, we just featured you on our Facebook page.

Michael, any answers to the questions above? We'd love to clarify the status of your world record. Thanks in advance.

This record appears to have been broken by Chad McLean. Michael, are your forms different? It's unclear whether you used assistants (as Chad did) to pass you the balls.

A would not want to challenge him to a bowling match.

How about adding another rule... must insert a thumb into the ball?

For everybody that wants information, the bowler in this video is Michael Hamilton, he owns a pro-shop in Miami Florida called Mike's Pro Shop. He has well over 50 300 Games and countless 800 series. Search him on bowl.com His league averages are in the 240's and have countless other achievements. He is the real deal

mike has over 50 300 games

Eric's original record was setting using just four lanes. In Michael's record, he obviously uses more lanes, which makes the feat somewhat easier, in my opinion. I think we should separate the feats and mark Eric's as "Most Bowling Strikes In Four Lanes In One Minute." Thoughts? Michael, what do you think?

  • United States PeteM

Eric and Michael, I'd like to request that I'd like to see one of you fine gentlemen set the world record for Most Consecutive Strikes.

    • The Internet Billy BigFigs

With a thumb inserted into a ball... anything else deserves an "*"

  • The Internet Eric Smyth

Very Nice! Congrats! I am wondering why they bumped mine down, lol, I thought we were different categories, I only used 4 lanes, and I didn't use any human assistance. Did you have helpers? Or did you take from rack yourself? It looked like you had helpers, but were you going to the rack to get the balls on your own? Very impressive either way man. How many 300's do you have?

  • United States PeteM

Not only is this an awesome record but it ties Chad Mcleans Guinness world record. He also has more attempts in his minute making this even more impressive. Eric, maybe you should contact Guinness and see if they'll accept this as the new record since it takes you fewer attempts.

You're in the running for the Record of the Year, Eric! Don't forget to tell your friends to vote: http://bit.ly/SNk3hV (until November 30)

Eric Smyth, you are the man! How many attempts did you take?

  • United States Alicia Weber

The best advice I can give you, is if they do not have a local high school competitive team, is get some video of his bowling, and submit them to colleges. There are alot of colleges in the midwest and east coast who you can send them to.

  • The Internet Geoff Smyth

Any college coaches interested in a two-handed bowler? This young man has 4 sanctioned 300's and two sanctioned 800's. One of those, the house league record w/ an 846. He just turned 21 years old and loves the sport. thanks Love to get some help on the tuition...his proud dad

  • United States Josh Jones

I coach USBC youth and high school. Most impressive record here. Dont see many two-handed bowlers with a fine push-away technique

  • United States Alex Cunningham

This is significantly more difficult and impressive than people will give it credit for. Have you ever bowled a 300?
