Competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi ate 25 Peeps in 30 seconds. He crushed his opponent Gavon Laessig, who only managed to eat four. The competition took place at BuzzFeed HQ in New York City, and was adjudicated by RecordSetter officials Corey Henderson and Emily Miethner. Greg Roberts placed three Peeps on his sleeping baby in a stop-motion film, a new world record. For those interested in beating the record, Roberts insists the baby must be under the age of one and the Peeps must be uneaten. The record was set at Roberts’ San Diego home on March 13, 2009, with his baby Liam featured in the film. Jessica Roberts witnessed the feat.

Dave C. of Sweaty Church crushed 62 eggs in 30 seconds using his head.

Demonstrating his encyclopedic knowledge of Jewish delis, David Sax names 30 of them in just one minute, a new universal record. Sax showed tremendous focus while setting the record, ignoring an obnoxious heckler who kept yelling, “Carnegie!” He performed the feat on February 11, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society event held in New York City.
