About

Los Angeles, California, United States / October 30, 2026

Zoilo Adalia typed "hello world" in 0.81 seconds at a desk in Los Angeles, using a custom test on Monkeytype, an online typing-speed site. A phone camera set low beside the keyboard catches both hands and the monitor in one continuous two-second clip, from the first keystroke to the result screen showing 162 words per minute, 100% accuracy and all 11 characters correct. Eleven characters at 162 words per minute works out to 0.81 seconds from first keystroke to last, and a frame count of the video agrees. Blink and the programmer's favorite first line is already done.
