Sweet photo. Do you have any video from the event? Also, any further evidence of the toque's actual height?

    • England Rob Lowe

Yes ... it was 4 foot six inches ... but I will be setting the record again soon with it slightly taller ... I will make sure this is videoed and send you. Is this OK ... are there any particular things I need to do when setting the record again?

Precise evidence is always best. I'd make sure you shoot a video of you wearing it, show measurement of the toque, and consider rules in case others want to challenge you (how long does hat need to remain on head?) can it be held with hands, or does it need to remain up for a certain number of seconds without external support?) Also, what's the definition of a hat versus a toque? Does it need a pom-pom?

Brilliant Dan ... I will consider all your points for the revised attempt ... incidentally, I ran 3 miles in a fun run wearing it! ... so it stays on alright! ... I was calling it the World's Tallest Chef Hat rather than a toque, unless that is the record category?

We have the World's Tallest Chef (http://rec.st/IS1), but no, not the world's tallest chef hat. Shall we revise the title?

    • England Rob Lowe

Yes please Dan, I have scoured the Internet and there is not a hint that anyone had even thought of a tallest chef hat! ... if it's OK I feel we should go for 'The World's Tallest Chef Hat'. I have three more photos ... where would you like me to post of send them too?

Edits made. We never put "World's" at the front of our record titles, sorry. Email me photos (dan at recordsetter dot com) and I'll get them to our moderators.
