Ventsislav Vragov climbed and descended a 10-step public staircase backwards for one hour at the Apriltsi Memorial Complex in Panagyurishte, Bulgaria. The attempt was staged on April 20, 2026 as part of a public event connected to the memorial complex's 50th anniversary and the 150th anniversary of Bulgaria's April Uprising. Local press coverage described a measured, judged setup with spectators, officials, multiple cameras, and technical timekeeping on site. Vragov completed 391 full up-and-down repetitions, totaling 3,910 steps climbed and 3,910 steps descended for a final count of 7,820 stair steps.
