Emily Casden threw 144 pieces of chalk at Ella Morton while Morton
was dressed in a taco suit, singing Space Oddity. The band Blast Off!!! accompanied Morton for her performance.
The record was at a World Record Appreciation Society event held at Joe’s Pub in New York City. Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present as witnesses.

Yes, my singing was terrible, but don't fault the chalk thrower! She's got rhythm, man.
As bad as the singing was, the chalk thrower is even worse.
Zack, please beat this record!
Great job Ella! Nice singing voice also!
Great questions, Marc. We changed the record title from "man" to "person" since the taco suit wearer's gender isn't really relevant. We added "must throw one piece of chalk at a time" to ensure a level of fairness in the category. We didn't address the fact that many pieces of chalk didn't hit the taco suit wearer, as the person who submitted it didn't enforce such a rule.
For someone who might want to challenge this record... • Does it have to be a man? • Many of the pieces of chalk didn't hit him, should those count? • Can you throw more than one piece of chalk at a time?
