regular pet mice can have litters of 25 easily, super mice can have litters of up to 50, btw that"s not a single litter in that tub, theres ones that are older. a friend just produce a litter of 32 so i guess the record is busted lol
Super mice are lab mice who are genetically modified to be high producing. These are not that nor on same playing field. and Normal mice from Petstores do not have 25 easily Nice try. and this is all one litter.
Actually at A-Z petsin Portlanf, Oregon, their mice havr up to 30-40 in a litter sometimes. And never less than 10-15.
Those are Lab Mice, totally different genetics and not on same level. Thats like comparing a Monster White Tail buck from wild to a farm raised one on trophy ranch.
No they arent. Theyre just domestic mice.
And domestic mice are domestic mice. Regardless of the breeders breeding only females who produce a lot. Its all genetics. Ig i breed my rat who had ten her first litter with one of her babies, the chances of getting a bigger litter is higher. Simple as that.
The difference between your mice and a lab mouse, is that the lab mouse was born and raised in a lab. Its still just a domestic mouse. So unless you are breeding wild mice, its the same exact thing. Wuld mice tend to have more anyway. Its a survival trait.
thats crap ive seen mice that have 32 - 40
No you havent, why comment with such ignorance
You wouldnt know if he had... so really your comment was the ignorant one...
I have petshop fancy mice and one of my does had 31. I have no picture to prove that one but I have several more girls that are her daughters snd about to pop. I hope to beat your record shortly Rich. Also, those pups ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT FROM THE SAME LITTER. They are days apart in age. Look for pup age recognition chart from Jax.
Marleah, you're an education on mice! Thanks for the tip on the pup age chart; we'll be watching for your submission soon!
