OK here are some points on criteria: Attempt must start from a still start (no rope pre-swinging allowed). Time starts as soon as the rope begins to swing. A "skip" or "jump" is defined by the rope passing under the foot and foot landing clear of the rope. I'm not sure on regulation or professional rules of skipping but I remember hearing that a jump is not counted if the rope touches the foot, but for simplicity and difficulty in judging this criteria I'd be happy to waive it. So if the foot completely clears the rope but swinging stops it's OK. For one foot, start and all jumps must be made from and to the same foot.

Peter, excellent comments. I think since you are the category creator you ultimately should answers some of the questions you propose in this thread. I am okay with changing Brian's count to 111.

This record, along with the consecutive 30 second one can be difficult to verify based on the criteria, it needs to be very clear when skipping past the time. What defines the start of the skip, as soon as the hand move with the rope starting still on the back of the heels or can it start with a swinging start or does it start from the first jump? This will then determine the start time so exactly 30 or 60 seconds can be worked out, then what constitutes a "skip" or "jump rope jump" - ie if the rope passes under the foot it's a jump? or does the foot have to land for it to count as a jump? If the rope hits the foot, does it still count as a jump, should this follow professional skipping rules/convention (if there even are any)? I must have answers, they will shape my very existence...

oops I meant 111 is more accurate as jump 110 landed on two feet and the first stop jumped the rope but stalled so probably shouldn't be counted either...

I counted 113 but to be technical jump 110 landed on two feet... so this one should probably be 113. But it's OK because I'll just have to beat it won't I :)
