Six-year-old Abdul Hadi of Faisalabad, Pakistan, has grown his natural hair to 29 centimeters, measured from the crown of his head to the tip. A wooden ruler is set with its zero mark at the end of a lock of his hair and laid along his head, and the camera follows it in one continuous shot up to the crown, where a thumb marks the 29 cm line. His family says he has worn it long since 2024, and most boys his age never need a ruler for their hair.
