I could probably beat this, but I don't know if I want to. haha

  • United States Emily Patricia

    YEAAAAA-YA! Go, AJ!

  • United States PeteM

I like those apples a lot.

  • United States Alex Cunningham

Much better. I approve of this :)

  • The Internet AJ McCoy

Thanks for the constructive criticism guys! :) Ma-ann thanks for the support. Everyone else- how do u like them apples?

  • Philippines MaAnn P.

    Way to go, AJ! :)

  • United States Alex Cunningham

    1. Honesty and accuracy are pretty much everything.

I rest my case. This is not a record.

  • United States PeteM

Seeing as a majority of the people that awesome'd are RecordSetter employees I think it's more of the opinion of RecordSetter that this attempt is impressive. My thoughts: Did a lot of work go into this? Probably not. Probably filmed on the first try. Impressive? Sure, I guess. But not as impressive as Brian's video.

  • Philippines MaAnn P.

Pete, I'm not saying that all denieds should be made into another record. To clarify, what I'm saying is this is a good video and a good deal of will and effort was made, people awesomed it, it is a waste if this would be denied. But, I'm with you that we should encourage AJ to give this another try, that would be great. If everyone is in favor to deny this, then I'll go and do it and be happy to follow the consensus of everyone

  • United States PeteM

Ma-Ann, I'm sorry but I'm with Alex on this one. I know where you're coming from but I don't see any record this could be made into. They aren't 180s, 360s, 90s, etc. It's hitting the ball with a quick shuffle of the feet. I say we should encourage him to retry it before making it a new category.

There's several attempts that get denied because they don't meet criteria. It's not like the council makes a new category everytime someone doesn't meet criteria.

AJ, I'd love to see you retry this. Try hitting the ball higher to give yourself for more time. Or maybe create a category of 180 degree turns.

  • Philippines MaAnn P.

Alex, RS is built in the belief that everyone could be best at something. Someone making an effort to try one thing and one saying it is not a record, I believe, is something not aligned with its belief. This may not fall with this category's rule, yes, but this could also be made to be another record. I respect your opinion but my two cents is that this is impressive, otherwise, the users above wouldn't have voted for this

  • United States Alex Cunningham

"Too good" is beside the point - I really don't want to see RecordSetter fall into the trap of quality against the rules. There definitely weren't ten bounces that had 360s, and even more importantly, they definitely weren't consecutive. Impressive or not, this is not a record.

  • Philippines MaAnn P.

I'd say it's probably a win-win situation to separate this category. too good for me to be denied

  • United States Alex Cunningham

    Most CONSECUTIVE bounces...

Yeah I think this needs another look by the staff

  • United States PeteM

Ten are valid 360s but they aren't consecutive. I'd deny it.

  • United States Alex Cunningham

I'm sorry but those were NOT 360s.

  • Philippines MaAnn P.

Yes, actually if you count all the bounces made in this video, there are 14 in total but only 10 are valid

  • United States Corey Henderson

Brian's point about 360s seems worth following up on. Can anyone confirm full rotations?

  • The Internet Alastair Coote

I feel dizzy just looking at this.

  • United States Brian Pankey

some of them looked like they weren't complete 360's a couple were 270's but it is all good AJ

  • United States Brian Pankey

I felt like Aj lost his footing

  • United States Brian Pankey

Yeah I lost my footing during the last spin. Good call Dan! It's hard to do 360's on concrete if I was on a smoother gym floor I could probably do 6 or more.

  • Canada Dan Rollman

    • last hit not counted due to incomplete rotation
