That is really interesting to know for the better to having records with the stabilization only with the banknote of the paper with the nose that is really impressive thing I have seen here. It is looking impossible of the reality but it was really happened on the http://www.cheapessayservice.net/ website videos to breaking this record have been failed with the several peoples.

I will be breaking this record of mine again, soon... stay tuned!

    Impressive!

  • United States Kip Burrus

Finally! A challenge! I look forward to breaking this record (again) soon!

My banknote balancing video was featured on the "Right This Minute" viral video TV Show before being submitted to RecordSetter!

Any understanding I had about physics just blew out the window.

  • Philippines MaAnn P.

    He balanced it outdoors..wow.

  • Canada Dan Rollman

Is this real? Is there fishing line involved? I'm suspicious.

    • United States Corey Henderson

The bill behaves just like Brian's attempt, so I'm inclined to think it is real. Also. How about we change the title of the record to balance an "American banknote" or something similar.

    • Canada Dan Rollman

Changed from "Longest Time Balancing A $100 Bill On Nose" to "Longest Time Balancing An American Banknote On Nose"

    • England Peter Bone

It moves like that because of air resistance. Why an American banknote? This makes it difficult for me to have a go at this record. Surely any banknote would be just as difficult.

I agree with Peter, paper money doesn't vary too greatly in size.

    • United States Jenn Wark

Peter, you don't think the variation in UK banknote sizes would make a difference to this attempt? I'd think it would be less difficult with £5 than it would with £50.

    • England Peter Bone

I think you have that the wrong way round Jenny. A smaller note would be more difficult. I didn't know until now that US notes were all the same size.

    • England Peter Bone

Sorry JENN. Autocomplete on my phone.

    • United States Jenn Wark

Really? I would have thought that the bigger the note, the higher the chance of a stray breeze knocking it down.

    • England Peter Bone

You have to do this trick indoors so breezes are not a factor anyway. Longer objects take longer to fall and so give you more time to make corrections.

    • United States Tai Star

      Well put

    • Canada Dan Rollman

I'd love Kip's opinion. Kip, are you OK with evolving the category to "Longest Time Balancing A Banknote on Nose and allowing Peter (and others) to attempt with foreign currency?

    • United States Kip Burrus

So Hello! This is Kip! Love all the discussion on something I've been doing for fun for years now! FYI, BTW, etc. I have no problem with "banknotes" of any currency, and will look forward to setting/breaking records with them, too! Cheers!

Hey, you can pull down the YouTube video of me doing this longer, dated 2/11/11, in Santa Clara, CA... OUTDOORS!! Had a problem linking it to my latest challenge, but it can be seen at "Bum Does Trick For A Dollar" posted by William Sandow...

    • United States Jenn Wark

Kip, this is amazing. Peter, if you're interested in giving it a go, I'm happy to provide you with an American banknote!

    • England Peter Bone

Thanks Jenn :-) . I haven't even tried this yet. I'll try with a UK note first and perhaps the rules will be changed to allow it by the time I've learnt it. How much folding is allowed? I notice that Kip has a big fold in his most recent video. What if I rolled the note into a long thin tube?
