People World Records

A group of 1,198 people had a marshmallow fight in Lehi, Utah. They set the record to celebrate the release of "The Candy Shop War" by Brandon Mull. A total of 2,004 pounds of marshmallows supplied by Fresh Market were used. The war lasted for 30 minutes.

Nate and 35 other people at Lake Merritt in Oakland, California played mason jars as percussion instruments.

1,700 senior students from Brien McMahon High School participated in a multi-song lip dub video. It took them four months to plan the feat. They set the record as a remembrance of their high school years.

A total of 281 people participated in “The Great (Art) Outdoors” on Sydney, Australia, an event where participants created artworks that were inspired by the surrounding nature along the inner West GreenWay, an environmental place featuring bike paths and foreshore walks, cultural and historical sites, cafes, bushcare sites and a range of parks, playgrounds and sporting facilities. All participants were guided in free art workshops that were run by award-winning Australian artists including Ashley Frost, Nicole Kelly, Mellissa Read-Devine, Matilda Michell, Nicole Robins and more.

The Relay For Life of Bergen Beach, Mill Basin & Marine Park organized an outdoor zumba class with 32 participants as part of their Zumba Flash Mob event. The participants continued to perform their exercises while raining. They set the record to raise cancer awareness and money for the benefit of Relay For Life and American Cancer Society.

A total of 40 people attended a pajama party at Strathmore Municipal Library in Alberta, Canada.

Five students from SPK Schools in Namakkal, India created a paper cup mosaic measuring 12 meters wide and 12 meters long. Dr. S.Prabu Kumar, chairman of the school institution, organized the record.

A total of 448 people participated in a photowalk. The event was organized by 500px Global Photo Walk and NOTYi Photographers. The group walked around streets of Chandigarh in India, taking photographs throughout.

Students at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Matriculation School in Coimbatore, India made a plastic ball mosaic that measures 122.21 square meters.

At the Zappos.com Bay to Breakers road race in San Francisco, California, 16 people set a world record for Largest Potato Chip Sharing Circle. A total of 1,500 people with their puppets marched through Lincoln Park to the Capitol in Washington, D.C. on November 3, 2012. They set the record to show support for continued public funding of public media. Read more about the feat here.

Jessi Arrington led 179 people together to form the world's largest rainbow parade, which marched across the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City.
