Paul Bryan fit 1600 pounds of recyclable paper in a Ford Fusion and drove it safely to a recycling station. Bryan set the record as part of Fusion 41, a URDB World Record Challenge created by the Ford Motor Company.

Marc and Lucas crossed Honduras by motorcycle in 4 hours and 55 minutes. They began in El Amatillo at the El Salvador border, and exited to Nicaragua through the town of at El Espino. The clock stopped when they reached the border. See their route here. Marc and Lucas set the record on November 8, 2008. Marc rode a BMW 1150GS[] and Lucas was on a KTM 990.

In a feat that took almost 20 years to accomplish, former Wisconsin senator Dave Zien put a world record 1,000,000 miles on his Harley Davidson FXR motorcycle. Zien began the journey in 1991. Matt Piper, Gareth Jones, and Lloyd Jones set off from London (England) and drove to Cardiff (Wales), Dublin (Ireland), Belfast (Northern Ireland) and finally Edinburgh (Scotland) in 23 hours and 10 minutes, a new world record. This feat was achieved on April 3, 2009. Piper, Jones, and Jones took the drive as a fundraiser for the British Red Cross on behalf of their organization, Wendy’s Appeal. Niki Yoshiuchi combines his bicycle and yo-yo skills en route to setting a world record for the longest yo-yo sleeper while doing a one-foot track stand. Yoshiuchi stayed balanced for 33.41 seconds. The record was set on August 9, 2008 at the International Yo-Yo Open in New York City. Niki used a YoYoJam Hitman yo-yo. His bike was a 53 cm Iro Mark V.
