Texas 4000, a group of University of Texas students preparing to cycle 4,000 miles to raise money to battle cancer, rode a trainer bike 31.50 miles in one hour, a new world record. Niki Yoshiuchi combines his bicycle and yo-yo skills en route to setting a world record for the longest yo-yo sleeper while doing a one-foot track stand. Yoshiuchi stayed balanced for 33.41 seconds. The record was set on August 9, 2008 at the International Yo-Yo Open in New York City. Niki used a YoYoJam Hitman yo-yo. His bike was a 53 cm Iro Mark V. 28 people from 2011 LIVESTRONG Texas 4000 Team lifted their bikes up and said “Break Cancer” following a 40-mile ride.

Andy Gray, Billy Spellman, and Andy Layland used a triplet bicycle to cycle from Holme Fen, the lowest point of the British Isles to Ben Nevis, the highest mountain and point in the British Isles. They cycled a total of 500 miles in five days. They set the record to raise funds for Children with Cancer UK. Read more about their feat here.
