About

Kolkata, West Bengal, India / May 3, 2026

Subhadeep Bandyopadhyay of Kolkata, India, checkmated the computer in Wild Chess, a mode of the Chess Prince mobile app, while 115 points of material ahead. On the Royal Arrows layout both sides start with the same army of 11 queens, two knights and six pawns; over 20 moves he stripped Black down to a lone king and two pawns and promoted pawns into extra queens of his own. His screen recording, with his face on camera in the corner, follows the game from the first move to the win screen, where the app's material counter reads +115. Eleven queens a side usually means a brawl, and he turned it into a clearance sale.
