Nathaniel “Nat” Lawlor answered seven Genus Edition Trivial Pursuit questions incorrectly in one minute, a new record. An eighth answer, though incorrect, came in just after the time was complete and could not be counted.

Lawlor set the record on February 17, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society[] event at the Hemlock Tavern in San Francisco, California. Dan Rollman and Debbie Hampton were present as witnesses.

- more than one person may ask questions
- must hear entire question asked before answering
- questions must be read off Trivial Pursuit cards
- asking all six questions off one card is permissible
- attempter may not read questions before attempt
