Ben Jay names a band for every letter of the alphabet in 28.78 seconds, a new world record. His feat beat the previous record by over 24 seconds.

The record was set in Jay’s dorm room on the SUNY campus in Geneseo, New York on April 3, 2009. There were no witnesses.

Rules

- must name bands in alphabetical order
- words like "The" and "A" aren't counted in the bands' names
- bands must come from memory and can not be read off list

    If this record has been denied, why is it listed as the current record? Additionally, Eric Clapton is not a band-- he's an individual singer. There's another issue.
