- each non-telephone item may only be used once

Ma-ann I think violated is a very strong word. I know that changes can upset some people but surely the art and the beauty of a world record is its progression and it's elevation to new heights. Competitors are all bound by the same guidelines and rules set out.

If it will bring you happiness I may record myself having 60 conversations and dedicate the record to you :)

I just feel like the spirit of the category has been violated. All of the previous attempts said more than a word. If this is the idea they have in their minds, they would probably just say a plain 'hi' and 'hello' too on their videos. I'd like to hear what other thoughts esp. the record creator

  • Canada Dan Rollman

I concur with Paul. It's hard to define the line of what constitues an acceptable conversation, and there are no rules stating "number of words that need to be said." Consequently, I vote to accept his submission.

  • England Paul (Pabs) Melia

I looked at rules before attempting record and it doesn't say that you have to say a different thing each time so there can't be a problem there?

  • England Paul (Pabs) Melia

Ma-Ann surely saying Hello is conversing? It's not like the other person could reply because they're not real.

  • Philippines MaAnn P.

paul: i am not satisfied enough that a simple "hi" and "hello" could be considered an imaginary conversation. Please see current and previous records for references

  • United States Jennifer Wark

I agree; I think that's the spirit of the original record.

  • Canada Dan Rollman

I think we should add criteria that "no imaginary telephone may be used more than once per attempt."

    no i did not...

  • United States Simon Kirk

Didn't he repeat one of those twice - about "wanting to go out"?

  • United States tmcginniss

    Congrats!

  • The Internet Adam Varga

Wow! Well done Thomas. Congrats on beating my old record.

  • The Internet Adam Varga

Simon, I looked sad because I though I could do at least 5 or 6. I think it was still a good first try

  • United States Simon Kirk

Why does he look so sad after the record is done?

  • Canada Dan Rollman

I love the number of items Adam laid out before setting the record. Such optimism!
