About

Duncan , British Columbia, Canada / August 8, 2026

Troy Brooks of Duncan, British Columbia poured a 355 mL (12 oz) can of Dr Pepper Zero Sugar into a glass mug and drank the whole thing in 4.52 seconds, breaking Dakota Allen's 4.72-second mark after nearly 14 years. RecordSetter verified the time frame by frame at 30 frames per second: the mug first met his lips 42.15 seconds into his video and left them, fully drained, at 46.68 seconds, a window measured to within a frame or two on either side. The handheld stopwatch shown at the end of his video read 4.43 seconds; we certify the more conservative frame count, which beats the standing record either way. NOTE: Speed drinking can be dangerous. Please use caution when making an attempt.
