    I don't think distance from net should be a factor, as it isn't in professional tennis.

    Can the criteria be clear on what a "volley" is and how far must you be from the net. I assume the net must not be touched by either player, at least 1 meter from the net maybe (?). From previous records it can be front or back hand. And the serve doesn't need to be regulation from any position over or underhand?
