Paying homage to her favorite musical,Rachel Sklar sang ’Sixteen Going On Seventeen[]’ (featured in The Sound of Music) in 38.58 seconds. The record was set at a World Record Appreciation Society event on February 11, 2009. It took place at Pianos, a bar in New York City’s Lower East Side. Peter Craig locked and unlocked his iPod Touch 67 times in one minute.

Opus Moreschi made a ShamWow cocktail in 28.52 seconds, a new world record. He poured all the liquid ingredients of a Manhattan into a ShamWow, and then squeezed the towel into a glass. Timing stopped when the final ingredient, a maraschino cherry, was placed in the drink. Moreschi termed the resulting cocktail a “Shamhattan.” Moreschi set the record on May 20, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society[] event in New York City. Marc and Lucas crossed Honduras by motorcycle in 4 hours and 55 minutes. They began in El Amatillo at the El Salvador border, and exited to Nicaragua through the town of at El Espino. The clock stopped when they reached the border. See their route here. Marc and Lucas set the record on November 8, 2008. Marc rode a BMW 1150GS[] and Lucas was on a KTM 990.
