Rowing World Records  

Perfecto Sanchez and Greg Maud rowed across the North Sea in 45 hours, 22 minutes. They set the record to benefit Mission Blue and raise awareness of the damage being done to marine ecosystems. Read more about the feat here.

Nine women from The Embarcadero Rowing Club dressed in wigs, mustaches, and pirate patches and rowed a figure 8 in their whaleboat in one minute, 44.97 seconds, a new world record. The record was set on June 22, 2009 in San Francisco, Californa. Coach Oliver DiCicco was present as a witness.

Alicia Weber performed a one-leg 500-meter row in two minutes, 6.80 seconds. Her body weight at the time of attempt is under 136 pounds.

William C. completed 56 stationary rows in one minute while carrying a 40-pound rucksack on his back.

William C. completed 49 stationary rows in one minute while carrying a 60-pound rucksack on his back.

William C. completed 33 stationary rows in one minute while carrying a 100-pound rucksack on his back.

William C. completed 78 stationary rows in one minute.

William C. completed 12 stationary rows in one minute while carrying a 145-pound rucksack on his back.
