Relay World Records  

Robert and Jesus drank 12-ounce bottles of beer back-to-back in a combined time of 5.21 seconds. The second drinker did not begin until the first drinker finished.

Manish Shrestha, Unique Dahal, Om Prakash Shah, and Sunil Hansda ran a 4 x 200 meter relay backwards in three minutes, 54.00 seconds. They set the record to raise awareness regarding orphan children and to support the fight against child labor.

Sapphira and 31 women performed a burlesque glove peel circle in 21.02 seconds. They set the record to raise awareness about female empowerment through self-expression. See list of names of the participants here.

Kirsten and seven other people performed a tequila shot relay. WARNING: Drinking alcohol can be dangerous. Please do not attempt this record unless you are above the age of 18 (or the legal drinking age in the submitting country) and trained as a professional speed drinker. We will not accept submissions in this category from minors.

Sapphira and 16 of her friends from Sapphira's Showgirls and Ibiza Burlesque Festival performed a glove peel relay in 11.88 seconds. She set the record to celebrate World Mental Health Day and raise funds for SANE Mental Healthy Charity and Butterfly Conservation.

A total of 87 people from Five Acres participated in a trust fall relay. They set the record in celebration of National Adoption Awareness Month and to raise awareness about foster care and adoption. Five Acres is a child and family service nonprofit based in Los Angeles and works to strengthen struggling families through mental and behavioral healthcare, as well as create new families through foster care in adoption. Nine people participated in a 900-meter exquisite corpse relay race, a new world record. The first participant ran 100 meters and drew part of a person on their t-shirt. The shirt was then transferred to the next relay member, who put it on and added to the first person’s drawing while running. This was done repeatedly, with each person running 100 meters, until the drawing of the person was complete. The record was set on June 17, 2009 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The relay participants were Jessica Dunn, Lindsay Gerlach, Courtney Hacker, Flounder Lee, Paul Miller, Kurt Nettleton, Kyle Channing Smith, Victoria Son and Courtney Ware. Lamar Richcreek was present as a witness.

Doug McManaman, Mallory Wolchuk, and Carl McManaman completed a 3 x 200 yards snowshoe relay in five minutes and 10.38 seconds.

Doug McManaman, Carl McManaman, Michelle Soucy, Shilah Wolchuk, Mallory Wolchuk, and Jerry Wolchuk completed a 6 x 200 yards snowshoe relay in nine minutes and 41.95 seconds.

Julia and her two sisters performed a "shhh" relay for two minutes, 42.20 seconds.

Agnieszka K.'s team completed a Spinny Chair relay in 11.12 seconds.

Metro Police Tshwane and nine of his team members performed a five-kilometer relay in 25 minutes, 4.00 seconds carrying a 25-kilogram bean bag.

Danielle Siracusano, Alexis Taylor, and Morgan Hassell from Foundation Academy Archers completed a three-exercise obstacle archery relay in 10 minutes.

Archers Danielle Siracusano, Alexis Taylor, Tyler Goff, Parker Goff, Graham McCollough, Morgan Hassell, and Emily Bagley finished the Ultimate 3-D Archery 7-Archer Relay in four minutes, 38.00 seconds.
