Car World Records

This record was set as part of Prius Records, a two-day event streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records. This was the most records ever documented in a 48-hour window, a world record in and of itself. The event took place in Los Angeles, California on March 30th and 31st, 2011. Duane Clark travelled a distance of 4,790 miles while carrying the world’s first gas-powered automobile. The automobile, a 125-year-old Benz Patent-Motorwagen, was carried in Clark’s van.

Simon Kirk locked his friend out of the car for 5.15 seconds.

Rolf Weimar played FlatOut and crashed into an overpass, causing his car to become airborne and perform seven full flips before landing. Weimar's car is ahead of the main car in this video.

Art Hoffman filmed 79 vehicles passing on Interstate 64 in Kentucky in one minute. He set the record to celebrate RecordSetter World Record Day. #WorldRecordDay2012
