I'm afraid, that's not a world record - but a recordsetter record. Maybe most catches of three balls' cascade in a minute. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0cd-4nHlWo Mark Hanson doing 520 catches of shower pattern (siteswap: 51) in a minute (according also to recordsetter rules). He afaik still holds at least 417 catches Guiness World Record, dec. 2011 ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Jpgbqj7ncI ).

If there were 61 catches after the one minute mark, wouldn't that make the record 353-61=292 according to this rule: catches must fall within the one minute mark; catches made outside of the time limit will be deducted from the final total?

Personally, I find that rule a bit silly.

I think that is just badly worded. I assume it to mean "if the juggler goes on for longer than 1 minute, the catches after the 1 minute mark will be deducted from the total catches of the run before a drop or finish

I like that interpretation better than mine. One other thing: it says nothing in the rules about the pattern to use. Does that mean that one could use any pattern (and you used a cascade because it's your fastest/most stable pattern)?

Guinness states that the pattern must be alternating between left and right throws. I only did cascade because it is standard. More catches would be easier in the shower pattern. though one guy got 418 or something with reverse cascade

  • Yeah Treavor!!!!! You go boy!!

  • Yay Marty!! I'm so proud of you! Just think... all those years of juggling for THIS!!! J/K.. It's still cool though, I like you breathing fire better!

  • Thanks.
