Excellent question, Karen. Since it was witnessed by casino cameras and multiple onlookers, I think it should be accepted.

Patricia Demauro's record wasn't videotaped. What do competitors think: should we accept it since it's documented in a published news story?

  • United States Rob Birdsong

Agree with the comment from above. Here is another article supporting the attempt of Ms. Demauro's attempt for 154 rolls.

  • There is a 1/6 chance of rolling two dice once and getting a 7. So the probability of accomplishing this feat is (5/6)^13 which is about 9.346%, roughly 1 in 10.7 attempts.

That is cool, but i am going to try and beat it. - Sean Patrick Bailey Holder of the World's Longest Tootsie Roll Midgee

Mr. E - Thanks for the tip. We're trying to contact Ms. Demauro today.

  • 13 times? That's no record at all....try 154 times, the current record. For full video documentation, check out the story on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/offbeat/2009/05/25/moos.oh.craps.cnn

  • What's that kid doing the weekend of March March 19th - 21st, 2010? And does he have a fake ID?

  • there is like a 10% chance of this happening on a random string of 13 rolls: (5/6)^13 is between .09 and .1
