About

FORT LUPTON, Colorado, United States / August 31, 2026

Michael Benavides of Fort Lupton, Colorado has kept two paper-thin Tyvek event wristbands, the tear-away kind handed out at concerts and festivals, intact on the same wrist for 31 days and counting. He fastened the first band on August 1, 2026, added the second on August 9, and filed daily condition reports with RecordSetter along the way. His close-up video at day 30 shows both bands frayed but whole and lifting freely off the wrist, with no glue or tape anywhere in sight. The streak was still alive when this record was certified.
