looking at the type of toys made me have a flash back of the 70"s. I LIKED IT. I THINK I MIGHT GO BUY A YO YO TOMORROW. if they still make them.

    • United States Tai Star

YO YO! there isn't a yoyo in this. Just Do what he does in this video and add a yo yo in there somewhere and you'll break the record.

  • United States Tai Star

what other skill toys can someone add to this record. it seems like there almost all used. ha

  • United States PeteM

I think I just like listening to this video.

  • United States Brian Pankey

I'm not sure if the last one of the rola bola counted so thanks everyone!

  • Canada Dan Rollman

Jumping in this thread late, but awesome feat/category. Welcome to the community, Aaron. Brian, would love to see you cleanly succeed in raising the bar.

  • Australia Peter Craig

The whole point of RecordSetter is user moderation and collective decision making without bias. The moderation team made their decision but as with all records, there's open and ongoing discussion and in this case community vote trumped the original moderators collective decision. I personally love this record and as I have said personally I think it's one of my favorite of yours Brian, even though you didn't start the category. You just need to be able to take the advise given constructively and simply improve on the next attempt. It is very disappointing to have you turn so aggressively against RecordSetter and the people such as myself and the friends you've supposedly made as we've put so much into giving you a platform to perform and compete and said so many heart felt thoughts about your character which you're quickly pulling apart one by one and it's sad you take some things so personally or out of context as a personal attack against you. RecordSetter is a place to have fun, express creativity, competition and connecting people with similar passions an goals.

    Alright Rob I understand

Brain - We have an entire moderation team working here, I did not deny your record. After seeing some of the comments here, and doing additional research, we decided your attempt did not beat Aarons. Again, this would have been the decision regardless of who submitted the record.

  • United States Brian Pankey

by the way Aaron Davies is an awesome human being. I just have a problem with recordsetter not you Crazy Ivan your cool.

  • United States Brian Pankey

I just feel if you denied it in the beginning Rob I would not say a word but why wait 4 days to deny it. conspiracy?

  • United States Rob Birdsong

Brian - that's insulting, I don't hate anybody. Go back and read my entry in the Brian Pankey world record book that Peter Craig made. Also, i would have made those comments on any attempt like that no matter who submitted it.

  • United States Brian Pankey

    Congratulations Crazy Ivan!

Rob I know when we met you just pretended to like me but really hated me

Brian, we reduced the count on your attempt. The pillow spin and the hat balance on nose are not listed as 'skill toys' in wikipedia. There also seems to be some confusion about the boomerang throw, the soccer ball kick, execution of the rola-bola, diabolo, and magic hat trick. We changed the value to 17 and awarded the record back to Aaron Davies. Would love to see a cleaner attempt from you in this category.

  • The Internet Benjamin Thompson

Most skill related objects touched in 60 seconds. Good job?

  • United States Emily Patricia

I agree with Aaron. Just throwing something (like the boomerang) shouldn't constitute "use." And just putting on a hat shouldn't either. I'd also say he doesn't spin the pillow long enough. Some others as well. I think Brian's number needs to be re-considered.

  • United States Aaron Davies

I think there were a couple there that I would argue weren't used long enough to "establish control". The soccerball, the baseball cap, the handstick spin (thumb spin didn't seem to be in control), the boomerang and, of course, the aforementioned diabolo.

  • United States Brian Pankey

Peter the diabolo string was tangled around the diabolo so you can remove that one when your rushing you lose your mind

  • Australia Peter Craig

What I would have loved is at the end of this shot panning around the room to show the chaos all over the floor :)

  • Australia Peter Craig

the Rola Bola and hat balance were borderline but passable :) And I'd almost have to say the diabolo wasn't "used" at 0:43. And the soccer ball was used but not as a skill (juggling). Simon does bring up an interesting point as to what defines a "skill toy". Does this include a table tennis paddle as a 'toy', do skateboard and scooter come under the category? You could also include unicycle and pogo stick. Love this record. Hope it keeps growing a bit more.

  • United States Brian Pankey

this was the list of 23 I did - kendama - yoyo - hat balance - hat manipulation - pillow spinning - shaker cups - rola bola - basketball spinning - soccer ball kicks - cigar boxes - contact juggling - card manipulation - boomerang - plate spinning - paddle table tennis - devil sticks - diabolo - drumstick spinning -clubs - bounce juggling - balls - myachi - rings

  • United States Simon Kirk

I enjoyed this a lot. Does the table tennis part count? Not so much a "skill toy." The juggling was impressive though.

  • United States Brian Pankey

just did 23 had like 5 seconds left should did the paddleball. Aaron this record just really shows how much stuff we both have LOL

  • United States Brian Pankey

I would do this but I can't submit records anymore!

  • United States Jennifer Wark

Aaron, I love this record. Can you list out all of the equipment you're using here?
