John, you raise a fair point. That said, the established record criteria for this category didn't make that a necessity, so I think it's unfair to deny Jordan's attempt. There's only option left: RECLAIM THE RECORD.

    I mean, a sign-off includes the location...like New York.

Record was broken on first attempt.

  • That's the spirit John. But when you set the record initially you defied any network news correspondent to best you. So maybe there are two categories here: Most Network News Sign-Offs In 30 Seconds by Network News Correspondent and Most Network News Sign-Offs In 30 Seconds

In my non-expert opinion, i don't think you should have to be a newsperson to challenge this. Moreover, i think people should use their own names (mine is rather boring.) Of course, that means Buddy Biancalana is sort of screwed. I wil say this, I intend to fight to keep this record as long as their is a network news business.

Good question, Shanan. John, if you're out there: do you need to be a network news correspondent to challenge this? Furthermore, should a challenger use their name or yours? To keep things even, I think challengers should have to say exactly the same words you said.

  • do you have to be a network news correspondent in order to challenge this?
