Donna, Ma-Ann forwarded me the screen grab you sent her. I recognize the thumbnail is the same as the video you successfully uploaded the following day, but that's still not enough to constitute an acceptable submission. In essence, the rules of the competition make it unfair for us to moderate ANY videos sent in after the deadline. This is an unfortunate situation, but I don't know what else we can fairly do.

  • The Internet Hassan Kamel

Dan Thank you for responding so fast and i appreciate your decision, Donna I understand your frustrations, but a view of a video does not constitute an actual video. The video that is used was uploaded October 12th and thats past the date of submission.

  • United States DonnaM

well your private message link wont work for me to pm you I can give you proof it was uploaded to youtube in time. You cant deny proof can you? It cant be my fault that youtube deleted it but I do have proof that it was uploaded.. One good thing about youtube is they display the date you submitted your video the time of your video and a view of the video you submit, even if it was deleted.

dan I am going to pm you

  • Canada Dan Rollman

It's extremely unfortunate that we need to deny a submission due to a technical failure, but that's the case here. Donna's video wasn't properly uploaded to the Internet before the competition's deadline. We have no reason to believe it wasn't a valid attempt, but it's unfair to Hassan to accept a submission that didn't successfully come through in time. We are denying Donna's attempt and reverting the category to Hassan.

Dan or anybody from recordsetter, can i please at least get a response on why this was accepted even though its after the cut off date?

  • Canada Dan Rollman

Given that the hand leaves frame many times throughout the video, it's impossible for us to approve this attempt.

  • United States DonnaM

Hassan, After I had this issue with youtube I sent them an email ASAP about the problem I had experienced and the length of my video. That is why it is/was accepted.

  • The Internet Hassan Kamel

Donna I understand, but that is still all on your word, not any factual proof. I agree with benefit of the doubt and all, but not when it comes down to competitions especially ones with prizes.

  • The Internet Hassan Kamel

"I submitted my video yesterday (8 minutes before cutoff). I am new to youtube.-only joined to enter the different contest through stride anyways. I submitted my 25 minute video yesterday that you have record of me submitting but youtube deleted it cause it was so to big. Of course by this time and already spending close to 3 hours getting it to download I got frustrated and gave up for the night. any ways I researched today how to get it downloaded for a longer video and I did. here is my old link for proof of me posting yesterday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKFHMSGitGg and here is the one that I finally got uploaded today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f6y9VYQqUw Evidence Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f6y9VYQqUw"

That video was uploaded on the 12th of October, which is passed the deadline date. The record attempt submitted before the deadline has no video since it was deleted. I think its unfair that you are using a video uploaded after the date with a submission that was submitted before the date. I'm not questioning Donna's explanation about the video being deleted, but the video deleted could have been about anything or could have not been 25 minutes long.

  • The Internet Hassan Kamel

How can this be accepted without a video?

  • The Internet Ryan Winnick

scratch is not continuous , like the rules say. should not be counted. there are breaks in the scratch

  • The Internet Kobi Jaro

    ok

  • United States Rob Birdsong

Kobi, "- scratch must create a screeching sound for duration of attempt" there is no noise coming from your attempt.

  • The Internet Kobi Jaro

    what was wrong with mine?

  • The Internet Kobi Jaro

haha i messed up on the time it should be 13.40 seconds not .40 second so if i need to repost i will
