Travelling World Records  

Marc and Lucas crossed Honduras by motorcycle in 4 hours and 55 minutes. They began in El Amatillo at the El Salvador border, and exited to Nicaragua through the town of at El Espino. The clock stopped when they reached the border. See their route here. Marc and Lucas set the record on November 8, 2008. Marc rode a BMW 1150GS[] and Lucas was on a KTM 990.

Dan Miller and his friends Jim, Kevin, and Jay took two Cessna planes and a Ford Escape, travelling to all 67 counties in the six states of New England in 26 hours, 38 minutes, and 44 seconds. Their route started in Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts and ended in 8 Road in Wytopitlock, Maine in Washington County. The video was taken with a webcam mounted to the top of their vehicle, taking a still frame every six seconds for the duration of the trip.

Duane Clark travelled a distance of 4,790 miles while carrying the world’s first gas-powered automobile. The automobile, a 125-year-old Benz Patent-Motorwagen, was carried in Clark’s van.

Kadhim Shubber rode 891 miles with a full-sized skeleton on the back seat of his tandem bicycle. He cycled from John O'Groats, Scotland to Land's End, England. He set the record to raise money for scholarship programs at Imperial College London. Read more about the feat here.

Matt Piper, Gareth Jones, and Lloyd Jones set off from London (England) and drove to Cardiff (Wales), Dublin (Ireland), Belfast (Northern Ireland) and finally Edinburgh (Scotland) in 23 hours and 10 minutes, a new world record. This feat was achieved on April 3, 2009. Piper, Jones, and Jones took the drive as a fundraiser for the British Red Cross on behalf of their organization, Wendy’s Appeal. Doctors Ben Clarke and Gihan Ganeshanantham traveled across the European continent by tandem bicycling in 57 days, eight hours and 54 minutes. They started from North Cape in Norway and rode to Tarifa in Southern Spain. They rode a total of 6,918.1 kilometers (4298.7 miles). The doctors set the record to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, an organization dedicated to provide world-class care for cancer patients. Learn more about the feat here.

Andy Gray traveled the four compass points of the United Kingdom, Dunnet Head in Scotland, Corrachad Mor, Lizard Point, and Ness Point, in 15 days on a bicycle. He rode a total of 1,500 miles. He set the record to raise money and awareness for Marie Curie Cancer Care and Wisdom Hospice. Learn more about the feat here.

Adam Leyton visited Germany, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria in 24 hours. He used a combination of buses, trains, planes and a few KM running to complete his challenge. Learn more about the feat here.

Phil Billingham, Shannon Currie, Duncan Mackenzie, and Gerry Mulligan traveled to 18 countries in 24 hours. They visited Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Germany, Lichtenstein, Switzerland, France, Luxemburg, Belgium, and Holland. In a feat that took almost 20 years to accomplish, former Wisconsin senator Dave Zien put a world record 1,000,000 miles on his Harley Davidson FXR motorcycle. Zien began the journey in 1991. Matt Kelly and Dave Thompson travelled 13,300 kilometers (8260 miles) from Brisbane, Australia to set a record at URDB’sBreak Cancer party in Austin, Texas.
