Group World Records

A total of 1,600 students participated in a reading lesson held at Southwest High School in San Diego, California. The event was organized by Yuriy Seretskiy and The Symbol of Success LLC to help improve the US educational system.

148 women participated in the coronation night of 2014 Miss World Tourism Philippines, held at Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines. See a full list of candidates here. Nine women from The Embarcadero Rowing Club dressed in wigs, mustaches, and pirate patches and rowed a figure 8 in their whaleboat in one minute, 44.97 seconds, a new world record. The record was set on June 22, 2009 in San Francisco, Californa. Coach Oliver DiCicco was present as a witness.

Mick Cullen, Carl Cutler, Autumn Rizzio, Carolyn Howard, and Chris Carmody joined in a group eskimo kiss during a live broadcast of WRLR 98.3 FM’s Subterranean show in Round Lake Heights, Illinois. This record was one of 16 URDB records broken during the show’s attempt to set a new record for Most URDB World Records Broken During A Live Radio Show.

John Cabral led a group of 121 concert-goers in the largest group rendition of Don’t Stop Believin’ by the rock band Journey. The record was set on October 17, 2009 at the Saucony Originals tent at the Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco, California.

The record was set in Portland, Oregon on April 1, 2010 at Wieden Kennedy’s 28th annual Founders’ Day party.
