At the Zappos.com Bay to Breakers road race in San Francisco, California, 21 bananas were given out to set a world record for Most Bananas Given Out By Someone In A Gorilla Costume. Harry Rosenblum of Brooklyn Kitchen pitted 35 cherries in one minute, using a cherry pitter to achieve the feat. Rosenblum set the record on August 12, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society[] event in New York City. Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present as witnesses. [#WRAS08][]

Abheesh P. smashed 131 coconuts with his hand in one minute, a RecordSetter.com World Record. Five coconuts weren't clearly smashed and were subtracted from the record count.
