yes that is correct in passing 2 people 4 hands - 3 people 6 hands etc. sorry about the siteswaps talk recordsetter HQ mentioned to me awhile back what is a siteswap? So that is a brief answer of millions of siteswaps probabilities

Siteswaps are another thing. But Brian, it's not always multiplied by two. It's the number of hands being used multiplied by the number of objects. If two people are passing six balls there are four hands being used meaning there would need to be a minimum of 24 catches to qualify it as juggling.

off subject again but zeros can come into play with siteswaps also - a 5 ball 94444 which is a high throw to opposite hand then go into a 4 ball=25 as a A55550=30 divided by 6 numbers is a 5 ball pattern similar to a 99994 but you toss the ball high in the same hand then do 5 ball cascade with the 4 balls while the high ball is high leaving an open hand as a 0

off subject but siteswaps are number of objects added to total of objects then divided by that object (example 5 ball - 66661=25 divided by 5 is 5

that is correct the number of catches would be 2 times the objects so the more objects you juggle the more number of catches required ( 7 objects =14 catches, 8 objects =16 catches, 9 objects =18 catches etc.

Well Dan, to catch each object in hand once would just be a flash. For juggling to "qualify" or to say something's been juggled you take the number of objects multiplied by the hands being used for your minimum catch requirement. So 4 bananas x 2 hands = 8 catches to qualify

That goes for all juggling records. Let me know if you need any more information or sources.

I added "must catch every item in each hand at least once." Pete/Brian, should this be applied for all regular juggling records?

  • United States PeteM

    4 objects x 2 hands = 8 catch qualify

  • Canada Dan Rollman

Should we add a minimum number of catches to the rules? Is it just a flash?

  • United States PeteM

Yep! I tried it myself and got four as well.

yes this was Mr. Moyer's challenge. I did a bunch of other challenges from him also
