About

Kolkata, West Bengal, India / May 5, 2026

Subhadeep Bandyopadhyay of Kolkata, India, beat the computer 46 games in a row in Wild Chess, a mode of the Chess app by Chess Prince that swaps the usual setup for unusual starting layouts. Every game used the Royal Arrows layout, where each side opens with 11 queens lined up in an arrowhead. His single 88-minute screen recording, with his face on camera in the corner, shows every game from the opening position to the "YOU WIN!" screen, with no loss, draw, restart or undo along the way. With 22 queens on the board, that is a lot of danger to dodge 46 times in a row.
