About

Pleven, Bulgaria / October 17, 2026

Daniel Tochev of Pleven, Bulgaria, did 51 crunches in 30 seconds on his living-room rug, arms crossed over his chest and knees bent while a training partner sat at his feet holding a stopwatch up to the camera. That is better than one and a half crunches per second, each one curling his shoulders well up off the floor. We counted every rep frame by frame against the stopwatch in the shot, and one more crunch landed just after the 30-second mark. Anyone chasing this record will need very fast abs.
