About

Beihu-Chenzhou-Hunan, SAR, China / October 12, 2026

Yanhao Deng rolled three AA batteries around one another in one cupped hand at a desk in Chenzhou, Hunan, with a smartwatch stopwatch beside the hand. The stopwatch is started on camera with the other hand and passes ten seconds while the batteries are still turning, and the quick pace on screen, about two rotations a second, fits Yanhao's count of 21. Ten seconds leaves no room for a slow start, and not one battery hits the desk.
