About

Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan / November 8, 2026

Sixteen-year-old Hanzala Nazir wrote the numbers 0 to 10 twice at once, with a red pen in his left hand and a blue pen in his right, in 6.53 seconds on a lined notebook page in Faisalabad, Pakistan. A friend holds a digital stopwatch at the top of the page, starting it as both pens come down and stopping it as he finishes the final zeros, while each hand fills its own column with 0 to 5 on one line and 6 to 10 on the next. RecordSetter read the result from the stopwatch in the shot and checked the run frame by frame, which agrees to within about a tenth of a second. His left hand's numbers come out a little scratchier than his right's, which is rather the point.

Rules

- Write the numbers 0 to 10 in order, as Arabic numerals, on paper with a pen or pencil in each hand, so that each hand writes its own complete copy.
- Both hands must write at the same time, from the start of the run to the end; the numbers may run onto more than one line.
- Start a stopwatch on camera before either hand begins and stop it once both copies are finished; the stopwatch reading is the time.
- Film one continuous, unedited video that shows the stopwatch, both writing hands and the page from start to finish.
