As part of the "Dream Big - Read" summer reading program, members from Kasson Public Library created a Mentos and Cola volcano explosion measuring 38 inches (96.5 cm).

DENIED: Does not follow rule of "Must provide video evidence"

- must use Mentos mints and two liter bottle of cola
- must provide visual evidence

    We tried various types of soda, and I got videos of those. But naturally, on this one (the one that went the highest) the kids were too impatient for me to get the video camera ready. So there's only video of my shoes and me saying "Hey, what about the countdown?"

      I think in the spirit of this record, the rules should state must be a homemade device. No extra fancy TV add ons.
