About

Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada / October 17, 2026

Leaha Salzborn of Maple Ridge folded a teal origami flapping bird about 4 millimeters across, beating her own 5 millimeter mark. In two short phone clips, the bird stands on the edge of a clear centimeter ruler, reaching from the 0 line to about the 4 millimeter tick, which is how the size was measured. Leaha credits her friend Angela Fontaine with inspiring the attempt.
