About

Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada / October 12, 2026

Leaha Salzborn of Maple Ridge folded a green origami flapping bird about 5 millimeters across. A close-up photo shows the finished bird perched on a clear centimeter ruler, reaching from just past the 0 line to about the 4 millimeter mark, which is how the size was verified. It is small enough to balance on the corner of the ruler. Leaha credits her friend Angela Fontaine with inspiring the attempt.
