About

Bangor, Northern Ireland / April 16, 2026

58-year-old BMX rider Martin Tuson of Bangor, Northern Ireland, walked his feet high up a vertical stone wall and locked into the Spiderman plank for 72 seconds. Hands gripped the handlebars with the rear brake clamped, body suspended horizontally between wall and bike, the only contact points his shoes against the stone and his palms on the bars. Martin set the over-50 benchmark for one of BMX's quieter endurance holds, where the bike becomes the anchor and the rider becomes the load.
