, United States / July 17, 2011

Stride’s setting 100 records in 100 days. At the end of 100 days, we’ll verify if you are the standing Record Holder. If you are, you’ll get $500 for each record you managed to hold with your guile, talent, and sheer will.

General caution and common sense required. We show the Stride Team at work, but recommend that these challenges be done at home.

- briefcase may be empty
- briefcase must be large enough to fit a laptop computer
- briefcase must have handle on top
- measure distance from takeoff line to farthest point of briefcase after it comes to a stop
- must attempt record on a flat surface in an open area, with no possibility of others getting hit

Dan ... our "World's first briefcase throwing contest" had rules of a standing start. One foot in contact with the ground at all times. We considered people running like javelin throwers would be dangerous with a briefcase. Do you think we should re-submit our event's details with "stationary throw" as the event, i.e. Stationary Briefcase Throwing Champion Category.

Junad, for future attempts please make sure you measure in a straight line. The measuring appears to go diagonal, after the 25 foot mark. We're comfortable acknowledging this as a 25 foot throw until better evidence can be provided.
